Port of Palma de Mallorca: private transfers for cruise passengers
The Port of Palma is one of the main cruise ports in the Mediterranean and receives more than 800 calls per year. Most ships dock at Moll Adossat, located about 2 kilometers from Palma's historic center. Although it is possible to walk there in about 20-25 minutes, the most convenient way to make the most of a stopover is to head directly to your first destination.
Most stopovers last between 8 and 12 hours, enough time to discover much more than Palma if transportation is well planned. From the port, you can visit Valldemossa, explore Sóller and its famous historic train, reach the Cuevas del Drach (Drach Caves), or combine several stops before returning to the ship.
Excursions organized by the cruise line are a convenient option, but they are usually carried out in large groups, with fixed schedules and a pre-established itinerary. I booked and paid 2 cars because we were a big group but you only sent 1 because you thought I made a mistake. If you think that a costumer made a mistake you should first send an email asking for clarification and then delate the booking for one car, especially because I already paid for both of them in advance so it was basically not providing me a service that I paid for

It would be nice with an e-mail to confirm the reservation for the return transportation one day in advance; we received the confirm mail during the middle of the night the very same day as we were picked up at 5:00 am.
But the taxi was there and everything worked out perfectly !

It would be really reassuring if there was a live tracking feature. Our pick up was at 0515 and there was nothing to tell us the taxi was on its way. It turned up exactly on time so no complaints, but at that time in the morning, I was still a bit nervous that it wasn’t going to come.

Probably about €35 more than just flagging one down in the street or on a taxi rank but when travelling with large items it was nice not to worry about finding a taxi big enough when travelling back to the airport.

Most cruise ships dock at Moll Adossat, the cruise terminal located at the western end of the Port of Palma. After disembarking, simply follow the signposted route to the terminal exit, where your driver will be waiting in the authorised private vehicle area.
About 2 km from the historic centre (Cathedral, Palau de l'Almudaina, Paseo del Born). On foot it's about 20-25 minutes walking along the port; by vehicle, less than 10 minutes. A transfer from the dock to your first point of interest is the most efficient way not to lose time.
Between 8 and 12 hours on most itineraries, with disembarkation between 7:00-8:00 am and return between 6:00-8:00 pm. Some short port calls last 6 hours. Confirm the exact return time to the ship before planning: you need to be back at the dock at least 60-90 minutes before departure.
It depends on the type of experience you're looking for. Cruise line excursions include a guide and a fixed itinerary shared with other passengers. A private transfer lets you decide the route, the time at each stop and travel only with your group. It's a particularly appealing option for families or groups looking for more flexibility during the port call.
At the exit of the Moll Adossat terminal, in the private vehicle pick-up area, holding a sign with your name. We indicate the exact meeting point in the confirmation email. You don't need to look for the driver: they will spot you as soon as you come out.
We monitor the ship's expected arrival time whenever you provide the cruise name during booking. If disembarkation is delayed for operational or weather reasons, we adjust the pick-up automatically so you don't have to worry about constantly notifying us.
This occasionally happens due to weather or port conditions. If the cruise line changes the return time during the port call, let us know as soon as you find out and we'll arrange the return to the dock with the time needed. That's why we recommend always keeping the driver's number to hand during the excursion.
Yes, and it's the most recommended option. When booking, you indicate the morning pick-up time and the afternoon return time to the dock. The driver picks you up at each point and brings you back to Moll Adossat with enough margin to board without rushing.
With a port call of 8 to 10 hours, you can explore Palma's historic centre or combine the city with other places like Valldemossa, Sóller, Port de Sóller or the Caves of Drach. The itinerary will depend on the length of the port call and how much time you want to spend at each stop. If you book a private transfer, we help you plan a realistic route to return to the port with enough margin.
The driver waits in the pick-up area outside the terminal, not inside the restricted dock. The terminal exit leads you directly to that area, just a few metres away. We explain this in detail in the booking confirmation email.
