Gran Canaria Airport (LPA) is the main gateway to the island. According to Million Routes bookings, 79.5% of transfers from LPA are destined for the south of the island: Playa del Inglés, Meloneras, Maspalomas, Puerto Rico, and Mogán concentrate most of the demand, twelve months a year.
The single terminal has two arrivals floors, and taxis and private transfers operate on floor 0, just outside the baggage claim area. Our driver will be waiting for you with your name on a sign, with real-time flight tracking and a fixed price from the moment of booking.

1. Is the airport close to the south or Las Palmas?
Gran Canaria Airport (LPA) is located in the municipality of Telde, in the east of the island. It is about 30 minutes from both the tourist south and the center of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. It is not particularly close to either, making airport transportation an important decision depending on your final destination.
2. How long does the transfer to the south of the island take?
It depends on your exact destination. San Agustín is the closest (~20 min, 20 km); Playa del Inglés and Maspalomas are ~25-30 min away (25-30 km); Meloneras ~30 min (32 km); Puerto Rico ~40 min (45 km); Puerto de Mogán, the westernmost destination, ~50 min (55 km). During high season, allow an additional 10 to 15 minutes.
3. What if my destination is Las Palmas de Gran Canaria?
Las Palmas is 28 km via the GC-3, with an average travel time of ~30 minutes under normal conditions. Access to the city center and the Las Canteras neighborhood can be complicated during rush hour, especially between 8:00 and 9:30 AM and between 5:00 and 7:00 PM. With a private transfer, the driver knows alternative routes, and the price does not vary due to traffic.
4. Is there a difference between arriving at Playa del Inglés, Maspalomas, or Meloneras?
Yes, they are distinct but contiguous areas. Playa del Inglés is the most commercial and lively area, with the highest concentration of hotels and restaurants. Maspalomas is quieter, with the dunes and the lighthouse as landmarks. Meloneras is the newest and most exclusive area, with the promenade and large resorts. Please indicate your exact hotel when booking to calculate the correct price.
5. Is there a bus from the airport?
Yes. The line 66 connects the airport with Playa del Inglés and Maspalomas (from ~€2.60, between 45 and 60 min with stops). The line 60 goes towards Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. These are economical options but with fixed schedules, intermediate stops, and limited space for luggage and sports equipment. For groups of 3 or more people or with bulky luggage, the cost of a private transfer is competitive.
6. Which resorts and urbanizations do you reach?
We reach any point on the island. A large part of our bookings are for resorts and urbanizations in the south located outside the main urban centers (Bahía Feliz, Arguineguín, Anfi del Mar, Tauro, Taurito) where taxis or buses do not always easily reach. Just tell us the exact address and we will calculate the price.
7. Where does the Million Routes driver wait at the airport?
In the Arrivals area on floor 0, just outside the baggage claim area. The driver will be holding a sign with your name. We monitor your flight in real-time, so if you have a delay, there's no need to notify us: we adapt without additional cost.
8. Does the service operate if the flight arrives in the early hours?
Yes, we operate 24/7. Gran Canaria regularly receives night flights, especially from Northern Europe. There is no surcharge for night service or for waiting due to delays.

If you think that a costumer made a mistake you should first send an email asking for clarification and then delate the booking for one car, especially because I already paid for both of them in advance so it was basically not providing me a service that I paid for

It would be nice with an e-mail to confirm the reservation for the return transportation one day in advance; we received the confirm mail during the middle of the night the very same day as we were picked up at 5:00 am.
But the taxi was there and everything worked out perfectly !

It would be really reassuring if there was a live tracking feature. Our pick up was at 0515 and there was nothing to tell us the taxi was on its way. It turned up exactly on time so no complaints, but at that time in the morning, I was still a bit nervous that it wasn’t going to come.

I am currently trying to book from Arinaga beach to airport but you do not seem to offer a service when I last checked. You need to be able to cover all customer requirements, and at least give a quote.

Probably about €35 more than just flagging one down in the street or on a taxi rank but when travelling with large items it was nice not to worry about finding a taxi big enough when travelling back to the airport.
